Man Claims Innocence for Illegally Taping "Hannah Montana - The Movie"

While the movie Hannah Montana - The Movie was being shown during a weekend performance in south Barrington, Chicago, Gerardo Arellano propped up a video camera on his leg filming it.

He was caught red-handed and both he and his wife were arrested.

Police found thousands of pirated movie CDs and DVDs in his home, and naturally suspected he was in it for commercial gain. But Arellano stoically denied any wrong-doing, and said they all belonged to his mother. He also said he didn't think he was doing anything really wrong recording the movie.

The court took a different view, but he was given bail at $20,000.

Teen superstar Miley Cyrus has a childlike way of relieving stress - she enjoys sleeping in her parents' bed after a long day at work. The 16-year-old singer/actress enjoyed an early rise to fame with Disney's megahit series Hannah Montana.

Madonna Refused Adoption of Second Malawi Child

Madonna's quest to adopt another child from Malawi has been refused by the court on the ground that the adoptive parent should be living in the country for a minimum period of a year and a half.

There was a hearing on Monday and the ruling was adjourned to today.

Her plan to adopt has been criticised by some, who argue that the child should be with his/her family in their home community. The child Chifundo James, also known as Mercy James, has two uncles and a grandfather.

In 2006 Madonna adopted Malawi child David Banda, amidst some controversy. She successfully argued to have the residency requirement waived in that case.

The Room Movie Aired as April Fool's Joke

Adult Swim aired the cult movie The Room as its annual April Fool's joke. Difficult to understand the reasoning.

The movie was made in 2003 was written produced and directed by Tommy Wiseau, and stars Juliette Danielle, a black comedy that tells the story of a  love triangle.

It has developed a cult following since its opening in Los Angeles
